Press Release: APsystems and OSW Announce Global Distribution Agreement

JIAXING, China & SYDNEY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–APsystems, the global leader in multi-platform solar MLPE technology, and OSW, Australian’s largest Solar Distributor, active globally, have announced a global distribution agreement, bringing APsystems’ technology and OSW’s One Simple Way philosophy and global distribution capability to markets around the world.

“Our core values and global capability are directly aligned with those of OSW, and we look forward to partnering with them to positively impact the solar market and bring more APsystems products to customers across Europe and the United States.”

Both companies cite powerful overlaps in values and purpose as reasons for the strategic alignment. APsystems strongly values innovation, evidenced in its microinverters, the most powerful multi-module microinverters in the world. OSW is likewise dedicated to bringing superior solar technology to its customers. Both firms also continue to expand globally; OSW has recently expanded its operations in Europe and the US with dedicated warehouses and offices in Poland, Munich, the Netherlands, and Texas. APsystems has a strong position in Europe with regional offices in Lyon, France and Amsterdam, Netherlands, and recently shifted its U.S. main office to Austin, Texas last year. The partnership agreement naturally covers Europe and the United States.

“Microinverters have gained strong traction in solar rooftop segments around the world. APsystems offers high quality solar microinverters with leading-edge technology,” said Anson Zhang, Co-founder and CEO at OSW. “Combined with their global product footprint, it was a natural partnership when we decided to include a microinverter brand in our portfolio.”

“OSW is known for empowering its customers with the best solar products in the industry,” said Olivier Jacques, APsystems President of global business units. “Our core values and global capability are directly aligned with those of OSW, and we look forward to partnering with them to positively impact the solar market and bring more APsystems products to customers across Europe and the United States.”

Leveraging a successful dual microinverter introduction last year with the DS3 series, a dedicated residential solar product, APsystems recently released its second generation of native 3-phase microinverters with the QT2, a powerful Quad microinverter for C&I applications. Both companies look forward to bringing these new products, and other APsystems innovations, to markets where OSW is expanding its growing presence.

APsystems and OSW are also committed to impacting climate change with high quality products that offer system-owners an electrical generation alternative, providing tangible, daily value in the form of pure solar energy at a lower overall cost and with zero emissions.

APsystems Surpasses 2 GW of Shipments Worldwide

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JIAXING, China – March 7th, 2022 – APsystems, the global leader in multi-platform solar MLPE devices, today announced it has surpassed 2 gigawatts (GW) of installed capacity to date in 2022. APsystems now has more than 146,000 solar installation sites in over 100 countries utilizing its groundbreaking microinverters and rapid shutdown devices (RSDs).

The announcement comes as APsystems passes the 1-million-unit mark for RSD shipments under its APsmart brand, another major achievement for the company. Since launching in 2019, APsmart business units have experienced solid growth supported by an innovative range of SunSpec compliant rapid shutdown devices including single and dual-module solutions.

“Reaching two gigawatts is a tremendous accomplishment for our global organization and a milestone we are all very proud of,” said Dr. Zhi-min Ling, co-founder and chairman of APsystems. “Our customers around the world recognize the tremendous value and benefits of using APsystems products. This milestone is the result of our commitment to consistently add to that value and support our customers’ goals.”

In addition to the high-efficiency power conversion provided by APsystems products in sites around the world, the 2 GW milestone translates to roughly 2.8 terawatt hours (TWh) of total energy produced, with a carbon offset of more than 2 million tons of CO2.

“APsystems has been a benchmark leader in solar energy since 2010,” said Olivier Jacques, APsystems president of global business units and global executive vice-president. “We have been recognized for creating the best-selling native 3-phase quad microinverter, and, recently, the most powerful range of dual-module microinverters in the world with the DS3 series. We are driven to push the boundaries of solar power.”

APsystems’ success in reaching the 2 GW milestone as cumulative shipments of microinverters and RSD solutions, is attributed, in large part, to its global dedication to innovation combined with the experience and capabilities of its employees in each business unit around the world. Driven by customer demand, the power electronics design experts comprising APsystems’ engineering and R&D teams employ the latest breakthroughs in power inversion circuitry, semiconductor device technology, high-speed encrypted communication protocols and intelligent control. APsystems’ newly introduced product line, the DS3 microinverter series, is a continuation of its ever-evolving roadmap centered on disruptive solar technology.

Additionally, APsystems continues to invest in its gateway software, inverter firmware, and its cloud-based online platform to protect installer and consumer data while providing customers with the best possible user experience. APsystems’ information security management system (ISMS) is now certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (also known as ISO27001), the international standard for information security, and encrypted Zigbee technology has been integrated as a standard feature in all new generations of multi-module microinverters.

People, innovation and leading-edge system design and security are part of the framework that has propelled APsystems to the forefront of global solar MLPE system leadership. APsystems would like to thank all its customers, partners, and employees for being part of this tremendous achievement, and for positively impacting its story, and indeed the world itself, for the better.

APsystems launches all-in-one ArrayApp mobile solar installer tool

APsystems this week unveiled an all-new version of ArrayApp, its powerful installer mobile application.

ArrayApp is designed to streamline APsystems microinverter installations, letting installers complete the entire customer registration and microinverter array mapping process during or after the project installation.

New features include a highly intuitive graphical user interface, gateway connection and other enhancements.

The mobile app is available for both Apple iOS and Android devices.

“Time is money for solar installers, and ArrayApp saves both,” said Jason Higginson, senior director of marketing for APsystems USA. “The newly redesigned ArrayApp mobile app is a powerful all-in-one tool for installers, and will satisfy the need to get solar arrays online quickly and efficiently.”

ArrayApp is a key feature of the industry-leading APsystems solar solution, which integrates advanced multi-module microinverters, the powerful Energy Communication Unit (ECU) Wi-Fi gateway, and the user-friendly Energy Monitoring & Analysis (EMA) online application.

ArrayApp streamlines an installation process that is already highly efficient and cost effective thanks to the APsystems microinverter line, which handle two or four modules per unit.

Using ArrayApp with their mobile device, the installer can quickly scan microinverter serial numbers and map the array for registration and system monitoring. The ArrayApp also has an ECU gateway sync feature which allows the installer to quickly and easily commission the gateway to ensure complete connectivity and performance before leaving the jobsite. The installer’s mobile device can also link by Bluetooth to a remote handheld scanner, if desired, for additional data input options.

APsystems ArrayApp is now available for download through the Apple App Store and Google Play. See www.APsystems.com for complete technical information.
